G2G Marketplace Renews its Engagement with Blue Hill Data Services, for Providing ‘as-a-Service’ Support for Mainframe, Mid-Range, Hybrid/Private Cloud, and Applications Services
April 7, 2022
The G2G (Government-to-Government) Marketplace has confirmed their support for and renewed their engagement with Blue Hill Data Services, for providing IT Infrastructure and Applications services, including Mainframe, Mid-Range, Hybrid/Private Cloud, Disaster Recovery, and Applications maintenance and support services.
The G2G Marketplace is an initiative championed by Oakland County, Michigan. Designed to offer solutions from government partners and approved vendors to government organizations and agencies, through an online store experience, therefore providing governments with an effortless way to research, purchase, and implement technology solutions at a reduced price.
Blue Hill also offers any member of the G2G Marketplace, a no-cost IT value assessment, to help members better budget for potential cost opportunities during the planning process.
“A budgetary proposal can help a government organization determine the amount of savings they can expect when considering a new project, like selecting an ‘as-a-Service’ offering. This helps our government agencies better plan, especially during the budgeting cycle,” said John Lalli, Chief Operating Officer of Blue Hill.
Lalli continued: “We are pleased with our continued and growing relationship to the G2G Marketplace, and the benefits this marketplace provides to its member community.
The G2G Marketplace is in the unique position of providing its government members with a streamlined and cost-effective process for researching, purchasing, and implementing technology solutions. We are blessed to have the knowledge and experience to continue to satisfy our many government customers, and our goal continues to be delivering the highest quality of services, cost efficiently.”
The G2G Marketplace offers free membership to all public entities, and provides pre-negotiated simplified agreements, fast procurement, and reduced prices and cost recovery. This initiative eliminates the need for a lengthy RFP process, and provides an efficient way for public sector technology buyers to research and utilize already competitively bid solutions, thereby saving government’s time and money while also using taxpayer dollars wisely.
Blue Hill has been an approved vendor of the G2G Marketplace since 2017, and often partners with other vendors to provide a seamless solution to the customer.
Blue Hill became involved with the G2G Marketplace through its early business dealings with providing Oakland County, Michigan, mainframe services. Positive feedback from Oakland County management: “Blue Hill helped Oakland County achieve substantial savings while ensuring that critical systems operate seamlessly.”
Lalli understands that “Our government customers all face the same challenges: being forced to manage legacy systems efficiently, while running the risk of losing critical staff due to retirement. We are honored to continue our commitment for supporting the members of the G2G Marketplace, to help members better manage their IT operating expenses while continuing to run best-in-class service levels for supporting their critical applications.”
