Colocation Clients find a new home with Blue Hill

Focusing on lifecycle management, consulting, managed services, cybersecurity, and software development, a leading provider of managed IT services in Connecticut decided to close its doors to colocation. Though it had provided colocation services for many years, it made a strategic decision to emphasize its core service offerings. This decision could have created a lot of problems for the colocation clients that were forced to relocate.

 

The co-located clients were given appropriate notice to start the search for a new home and the service provider committed to continue to provide colocation services until the clients had time to move. Throughout the state of Connecticut there are seventeen (17) colocation data center facilities. The clients were able to take advantage of extremely competitive internet communications service prices to significantly increase their internet bandwidth while saving money each month on their communications bill.

Though it is unusual for a service provider to exit a business offering, it is even more unusual for two former competitors to work together to help clients move from one data center to another. Fortunately, Blue Hill had the necessary resources to provide a smooth transition to its colocation data center for those clients who found themselves needing a new home.
