Blue Hill Data Services once again attended the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) conference. This year the event was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Minneapolis, MN. More than 100 Senior State IT leaders including CIOs from various states convened to hear presentations about the future role of the state CIO organizations and to hear highlights from the recently published 2023 NASCIO State of the CIO Survey.

Panels were assembled where CIOs from several contiguous states were asked to discuss current challenges and opportunities. Artificial Intelligence, specifically Generative AI, was a frequent topic of discussion at the conference. Though it is early in the game, most states believe Generative AI will be an important tool to help states address the challenges they face delivering services to their residents. The team from Blue Hill enjoyed the events, meals, and receptions where we had a chance to meet many people from the various states as well as other industry participants. It was good to speak with and learn about state CIO’s challenges and future projects. Blue Hill currently provides fully managed hosting services to multiple state governments and delivers the required services to meet these CIO challenges. Blue Hill can work with each state’s IT department to make sure these projects are completed smoothly. We look forward to the next NASCIO conference.
